Transportation

The DC Cup has partnered with various transportation companies to help you and your team to get from the airport to the hotel, to the fields, and around the city. You do not have to use one of our transportation partners, but it is recommended as they will provide you with the BEST rates in the city to get around. If you are interested in a coach bus during your stay, then we’ve got you covered! If you prefer to use your GPS to navigate to and from the airport, to and from games, and to all of the tourist attractions that the city offers, then we’ve got a cheaper alternative for you as well.

Note - Since DC is the #1 tourist attraction in the United States, it is recommended that you purchase your multi-passenger vans immediately after you have paid your entry fee and solidified your hotel accommodations because multi-passenger vans sell out quickly in the summer.

We have partnered with Excellent Tours DC to help you to navigate the city. They offer an array of services from airport pick-up to drop-off, and unlike many of its other competitors, they provide a tour guide to help you learn more about the Nation’s Capital at an extremely competitive and affordable rate. You can contact them directly and mention the code “2020 DC Cup” to receive group rates.

Not interested in a driver and 55 passenger coach bus, no problem. We have partnered with Avis Car Rental to provide you with great deals on multi-passenger vehicles. While traveling with a team of 18 players and 4 staff, 15 passenger and 12 passenger vehicles are recommended to provide enough comfort to and from games, and room for your team’s luggage.

Checkout Avis Car Rental at any of our DC Airports - DCA (closest airport to tournament location), BWI, or Dulles.

Parking

Access to parking can oftentimes be a challenge when attending tournaments in a city, but we’ve made sure to station the DC Cup in a location in the city that allows you ample options for parking. The hotels will provide Valet parking at an estimated rate of $43 overnight (15 passenger vans do not fit in the garages) if you option to stay at any of the three overflow hotels. Please note that this does not include parking at the Kellogg Conference Hotel which will be free for guests.

If staying at one of the overflow hotels in NOMA, there are many other parking options. Daily parking in and around the hotels are $8 - $10 per day up until 8 pm. At night time, it is recommended that you park on the streets as parking is free from 8 pm - 6 am. Please make sure to read the signs carefully and to not park in a tow zone area. There are tow trucks who patrol the area and will be looking for one misstep.

Metro

Not many tournaments have this feature, since most of them are held in suburban areas, but here at the DC Cup, we want you to not just play your best, but to also experience EVERYTHING DC. There are metro stops nearby which will allow you the opportunity to travel from the hotel to RFK Fields in less than 20 minutes. Many DC sports stars from former DC United star Wayne Rooney, to Washington Wizards Superstar Bradley Beal, to Washington Capitals and 2018 Stanley Cup Champion star Alexander Ovechkin, to Washington Nationals and 2019 World Series Champion Ryan Zimmerman, have all travelled on the metro to get to their games due to heavy traffic in the city, so your players will also have the opportunity to experience the same train that some of DC’s sports stars have rode on.

Reservations are to be made only by those teams that have received the Official Notice of Invitation via email from the DC Cup office. If you have any questions, please contact the office at info@dccup.org.
