Due to the city re-instating restrictions because of COVID-19 and not being able to move to Phase 3, we have had to make the tough decision to cancel the 2020 D.C. Cup. We will now set our sights on the 2021 edition from July 2-5.
Tournament Administrator Justin Reid said, “We had been in constant communication with CRYSP (the organization that manages the Fields at RFK), and since the city has had to re-instate its COVID-19 regulations, unfortunately, we aren’t able to proceed with preparations for this year’s event.” The D.C. Cup will now begin preparation for the 2021 event and as soon as the borders open up, the tournament congregation will begin its international recruiting trips. No schedule has been confirmed, but the D.C. Cup media team will follow the staff and report on all international team committments in preparation for 2021.
